He also advises on governance matters, guiding charities and other nonprofits through formation, reorganizations, mergers, affiliations, and dissolutions.
Additionally, Brad advises private clients on securing their long-term goals related to preserving and protecting their wealth and executing their philanthropic endeavors. He counsels families on structured charitable giving, estate planning and lifetime gifting strategies. Rebekah Hanley is Oregon Law’s 2023-24 Galen Scholar in Legal Writing. In this capacity, she is spending the year studying generative artificial intelligence and its impact on law school teaching and the practice of law, building on earlier articles on related topics. Professor Hanley is the recipient of the 2020 Orlando J. Hollis Teaching Award, the law school's highest recognition of teaching excellence.
Professor Hanley has been a faculty member at the University of Oregon School of Law since 2004, teaching 1L and upper-level legal research and writing courses along with the school’s required professional responsibility course. She also served as the school’s Assistant Dean for Career Planning and Professional Development for four years. Earlier in her career, Professor Hanley clerked for the Honorable Dean D. Pregerson in the Central District of California; practiced law in Los Angeles with Munger, Tolles & Olson; and later clerked for the Honorable Harry Pregerson, United States Circuit Judge for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Professor Kristin E. Hickman is a leading authority in the fields of tax administration, administrative law, and statutory interpretation. Her articles on these topics have appeared in the Columbia Law Review, Virginia Law Review, Cornell Law Review, and Duke Law Journal, among other publications. She co-authors the Administrative Law Treatise on federal administrative law with Richard J. Pierce, Jr., as well as a textbook on federal administrative law with Pierce and Christopher J. Walker. Her scholarly work has been cited several times in opinions of the United States Supreme Court and as well as regularly in lower court judicial opinions and court briefs.
